Hi, I’m Capt. Jamie Sheffler — a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain with a lifelong love for boating. Like many, I started with the Coast Guard’s Boating Skills and Seamanship Course, but looking back, I wish I had paired that with real, hands-on training on the water. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience — and learned a few lessons the hard way.
